Bruce Stainsby
Creative Director
Following completion of a course in graphic design at Swinburne University of Technology and then several years working in the advertising industry, Bruce moved to the UK and worked for Michael Peters and Partners, one of the world’s leading design groups.
Whilst in the UK he went on to complete a Fellowship in graphic design at the Manchester Polytechnic in the UK. On returning to Australia he went back to his first love, advertising. He has since been Creative Director for some of Melbourne’s most prestigious multi-national agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Dancer Fitzgerald Sample (later to become Saatchi and Saatchi) Young and Rubicam, Foote Cone & Belding, and more recently Cummins Nitro, where he undertook the specialised role of Brand Identity Director.
Bruce also ran his own agency for nine years with clients such as Jeep, Norwich Insurance and Valvoline. This was eventually purchased by Bozell Worldwide. He has also utilised his talents as a lecturer in advertising, in the undergraduate and post-graduate programs, at RMIT University Melbourne. Bruce is multi skilled - he is adept at developing marketing and business plans, as well as writing, art directing and designing.
He is an enthusiastic supporter of, and well versed in, the use and application of social media within a marketing plan. He has been responsible for, or worked on, many icons of Australian mainstream advertising including:
Chrysler/Jeep, CGU Insurance, Honda Motorcycles, Jarrah Coffee, Kmart, Mazda, Northern Territory Tourism, Rowntree, Toyota, Triumph Motorcycles.
